Sometimes, your living space just needs a reset. A fresh coat of paint, updated baseboards, or a new tile backsplash can completely change how a room feels. A handyman can take on mid-scale tasks that give your home a noticeable refresh without tearing the place apart. Property owners call on handymen in Donelson for all kinds of seasonal projects, like re-caulking windows, replacing door hardware, or repairing drywall after picture hooks have been moved. A professional knows how to walk through a space, point out what can be cleaned up or upgraded, and then get it done.
Not every project has to be a big deal, but having a lot of little projects can be stressful if they stay undone. Do you have loose hinges, wobbly stair rails, or gaps in trim? These things can be irritating and will wear down the quality of your space. Homeowners use a handyman service in Donelson to tackle these weekend-sized jobs without wasting their weekends. You get the satisfaction of an improved home without making five trips to the hardware store. And unlike calling a general contractor for a small repair, a handyman is set up for exactly this kind of work. Popular requests include furniture assembly, minor drywall patching, weatherstripping, touch-up painting, shelving installation, and hanging fixtures.
A picture hanging project went pear shaped after I bought some EXPENSIVE picture lights that came with HUGE plugs that would prevent the large paintings from lying flat against the wall. I called a local interior decorator looking for a picture hanging pro. She said she always used Mr. Handyman. So, I called them, and, within an hour, Bryan Clifton arrived at my door. What a good, capable guy! He knew exactly what to do, put up with my fumbling attempts to help, and got the job done in about an hour. Definitely will use them again and ask for Bryan first!
Our home projects were beautifully completed in a timely manner; the cost was surprisingly affordable and the craftsmanship exceeded our expectations! Additionally, the customer service was outstanding! Thank you Ryan Buzzetto from Mr. Handyman of E. Nashville and Hendersonville. We are already putting together a list for our next projects!
My wife had to go out of town on a business trip, so, I had the honey do list and decided to call Mr. Handyman. Well, Bryan Clifton was able to come out the same afternoon. He did an outstanding job. Was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the jobs that needed to be done. For a sink problems, he figured out he was not going to be able to do it so, he called his collage with the plumbing side of the company, Mr. Rooter. Another Bryan. Well, he also did any outstanding job, taking extra care to keep the area clean. Both men did an amazing jobs. I live in an old house that is always needed something done and I am getting a little too old to do these things, I have found the people to call now.
Stephen Powers of Mr. Handyman came to my house to replace a set of shutters after one of them had blown off of a 2nd story window on the front of my home during a storm. I had already ordered the replacement shutters, so I just needed one of the old shutters removed and the new set put into place. Though he had to retrieve a masonry drill bit before doing the work, Stephen completed the job in under an hour and the work he did is flawless. The new installation matched the old installation so well that everything matches perfectly and the work done is seamless. Stephen was super professional, helpful and polite and I would happily recommend Mr. Handyman for any home fix-up or improvements needs you might have.
A handyman isn’t a general contractor, and in many cases, that’s a good thing. If you’re already working with a designer or managing a renovation yourself, bringing in a handyman for select parts of the job makes sense. They can prep spaces, finish surfaces, or handle trim and final touches after the heavier construction is done. This is common when homeowners are updating a kitchen or bathroom and need help with the last 10 percent, like installing shelving, adding cabinet pulls, putting in a custom backsplash, or adjusting doors. Since handymen don’t do plumbing, electrical, or roofing, they focus on the kinds of work that usually get delayed when those trades take up the schedule. Working with a handyman during a renovation keeps things flexible, too, because you don’t need to reschedule your contractor for every minor adjustment. A pro can come in, handle a punch list, and keep the momentum going.
There’s an art to working with the right handyman. Here’s how to make it count:
